Anime fans have always been dicks but nowadays everyone is like harassing creators, always complaining, buzzword using motherfucker. Back then really the only assholes for anime I saw were pretentious fan who thought they were too good for some shows but they don't even make those type of anime anymore for fans like that to exist now. I just don't remember fans being as bad as they are now at least on the western side vs when I was getting into anime around the mid 00's.
