Hi /a/I'm a mid 30s man who didn't grow up with anime outside of Pokémon, so just finished my first watch through of Evangelion. I must have mentally projected my wife onto Asuka because she also lost her mother quite young, and she's ginger and mean to me sometimes. Long story short I couldn't sleep last night because I was crying so much.It makes me incredibly sad that she didn't get the ending she deserved, and I feel like I've failed to protect her.What do, do I go straight onto the rebuild movies?

Asuka didn't want to be saved or protected. She rejected everyone who tried to help her. Also she's a jobber as pilot. Rei has a lower sync ratio because 00 is bugged with the soul of a schizo kid (Rei I is sociopathic)
