Was it really that good?
>>283266466Its fine. Not 10/10 material. 7/10 fits better.
>>283266466It is unc's Frieren
>>283266466It was decent Not the absolute best at anything But out of all the anime I've watched, somehow it manages to be the one that I go back to more consistently than any other
Both shows were shit adaptations and the manga is much better.
>>283266466It was ok, needed less ham acting though
It isnt even the best anime about a blonde mc trying to save their blonde relative
>>283266591speak english
the manga was good, the anime got good OST but that's it. Anime is bad imo
>>283266714What's the best
>>283266466It's literally the GOAT I don't care what anyone says.

>>283266466Better than 03
>>283266632The manga's plot was nothing special either. 03 was ambitious with its original plot but flubbed a few things near the end and Brotherhood's pacing was and art was kind of off. FMA is an unfortunately imperfect series.
>>283266466It sets the bar of what's a good anime for me.World building, characters, plot, production, etc…It's not unattainable like a masterpiece would be but it filters a lot of adventure shonen stories.
>>283266466For western standards it's a 5/10, for anime standards it's a 9/10, purely by virtue of being a story with a start, middle sections and an ending with a good pacing and a proper hero's journey that didn't take 20 years of irl time, but the basic themes are pretty dumb and esoteric part is completely wrong for both in western and eastern alchemy the final objective was the transmutation of oneself into an higher being, physically, mentally and spiritually, abandoning your mortal body, there was also no difference between human and material transmutation, transmutation is transmutation and only done on inanimate objects first so that you make sure it works and you know what you are doing, not different from a surgeon in training doing surgery on dead bodies to learn how to do it.
>283268042>For western standards it's a 5/10, for anime standards it's a 9/10Bait used to be believable.
>>283266466>interesting world>OK characters>OK magic system and power levels>Mostly well put together and executed plot (it kept escalating, but didn't get retarded like some certain evangelion)>The main villain wasn't some misunderstood faggot with tragic background>The villain not only got defeated physically, but also in spirit, with the sacrifice Ed made at the end>The rare decent ending>An OK adaptation that didn't butcher the source materialYes, it's good. Objectively. There are things one can nitpick, of course. My personal pet peeve was NotChina and it's alchemy being completely unknown in Amestris.I can accept someone disliking FMA, but saying that it's bad is just full on contrarian faggotry.
>>283268042>purely by virtue of being a story with a start, middle sections and an ending with a good pacingThis almost doesn't exist nowadays, for some reason.
>>283266466It's the most 7 out of 10 7/10 to ever exist. It's competent and does everything it does good enough, but it just doesn't have that spark that makes something a masterpiece.
>>283268424Name what you would consider a masterpiece.
>>283266466This better?
