I think Shiki ended up with most of the treasure from God Valley. You're right that they should probably seek other series which fulfill that niche but sadly there aren't many manga who can pull it off nor do it as well as Oda.I believe these people just wanted One Piece to essentially be like Dragon Ball (before Z) where Luffy and the gang just keep having wacky adventures with their silly pirate crew. Also its funny that you mentioned the conspiracy shit since many hints about it have existed even during the pre-timeskip era. Its been obvious that Oda ALWAYS wanted One Piece to be where it is now.
