How the FUCK do you manage to destroy the hype for the most zoomer-coded edit-prone anime that ever existed?Seriously, why didn't the anime industry unite as whole like they did with One Punch Man to make Chainsaw Man uninterruptedly and make ungodly amounts of money?Literally EVERYONE was talking about the anime when it was releasing, so why did they decide to ruin the hype completely by postponing the animation to fucking 3 years later?
>>283310133One Punch Man's hype has died too. Zoomer attention span is incompatible with creating a modern classic.
csm part 2 has been total shit so it ok that its a mid anime that will be forgotten
>>283310133i'm a zoomoid and i don't like flopslop fag. my most zoomer-coded anime are foid the rock and that new ntr kino aka kinokikino desu
>>283310133hey bro your image is a bit desaturated
>>283310133cope and seethe, it already made more than jjk0 and the haikyuu movie
>>283310133But the movie is successful?
Love CSM
>>283310150It's interesting how this is only an animu problem compared to vidya
>>283310133It's plenty popular outside 4chan
>>283310717WutVidya hasn't had modern classics either, not in the last 10 years
>>283310303It will make significantly less than shit like Detective Conan movie #26, why are zoomtards trying to make out this middleling movie is coming from anything other than a dead franchise?
>>283310929Given the subject was zoomers I was gonna make a few indie jokes and then I realized most of the biggest stuff really did come out more than 10 years ago, so joke's on me
>>283310150Made in abyss is the only modern show that can sustain itself every time it pops up. Although it never reaches FOTM popularity.
>>283310133They used bad CGI which everyone hates. Makima was not as hot as advertised. Budget blown on EDs which zoomers skip.
Because chainsawman isn't actually very good
>>283311034>106 millionThat 76 million hasn't included the us opening yet. I hope you prepared an excuse in a week.
>Movie just came out>It was popular>/a/: Why is it not popular? Shitposters, mental illness or simply not wanting anime to become too popular?
>>283310133Part 2 killed the seriesnoone gives a shit about Asa
>>283311525>not wanting anime to become too popularBold of you to assume good faith
>>283311511It won't get anything close to the annual Detective Conan slop or JJ0 ($190m)Chainsawkeks will need to form prayers circles just for a chance of get to half of a shitty JJK prequelYour dead manga lost, again
>>283311415>Budget blown on EDs which zoomers skipHoly kwab
>>283311621this
>>283311747Powers ending was the only memorable one
>>283311893Nah the very first one was the best one, song is too good for this show
>>283310133>so why did they decide to ruin the hype completely by postponing the animation to fucking 3 years later? They had to rethink their entire approach after the previous director raped the adaptation into the dirt.It worked out quite well, but this is only after half of the first part of the manga was already ruined.Luckily enough, the most hype parts of Part 1 start with the movie's arc and only increase all the way to the end, so Mappa is about to cash in really hard if they keep the current quality. It's very much a miraculous return after such a terrible first impression.Once it gets to Part 2 though, abandon all hope.
>>283311034It had a 5 million budget, nothing dead about this kino
Reze has rizz
>>283310150Psycho Pass was big shit when it first aired, but i doubt anyone has watch it since.
>>283313704
>>283311621asa >>>> p2 denji
>>283313809Well no shit, it's a 2012 single season finished story>actually there are-No, there aren't. It's a 2012 single season finished story
>>283310133It didn't look as good as OPM S1, so west didn't care as much as they might have.OP was okay and popular, but wasn't catchy enough to hit mainstream trend levels. The director going for 'realistic' style killed the japanese fans interest.12 episode meant that Bomb girl and onward arcs (where manga originally got popular) weren't covered.
>>283310133>why didn't the anime industry unite as whole like they did with One Punch ManThat's not what happened.
>>283310133Combo of chainsaw man part 2's over all direction and Mappa first hiring Ryu Nakayama and second not telling Nakayama to shut the fuck up during interviews after pushing his ass into the lime light. Chapter 98 was a PERFECT start for part 2 but the chapters proceeding it could not keep that momentum up.
Going for the more "grounded" take on Chainsaw Man was retarded. This isn't a series meant to feel weighty or real, it's bombastic. Also restricting it to 12 episodes, as another anon pointed out the real meat of Part 1 is Bomb Girl onwards. Then proceeding to take 3 years to release a follow up. I think now hopefully production for this show will be moving along faster now that the movie is out and is doing pretty well, but if we gotta wait 3 years for them to wrap up Part 1 then that's gonna kill it.
>>283310929>Vidya hasn't had modern classics either, not in the last 10 yearsI can think of at least one this decade, though it’s relatively grim otherwise
>>283311452The Trvke
>>283315057It should’ve been zany and pop arty from the start and it should’ve been 16 episodes so it could end on a high note with the climactic fight followed by a bittersweet ending. Ending with that shitty KatanaXDenji fight was anti-hype. Every decision MAPPA made when producing season 1 was the worst decision they could’ve made and it shows.
>>283318341Ff7 remake, expedition 33, divinity 2
>>283318681>Ff7 remakejust because of the porn doesn't mean its a modern classic
>>283310133Its anime revealed how shit it truly was.
>>283310133i like csm but i haven't read a chapter since "part 1" ended and i don't care to see a forced continuation. the anime didn't feel right for the story plus it's been years since both ended.
>>283318681>Ff7 remake
>>283310133I don't think anybody still reads this manga except some mindbroken American zoomies who picked it up during the pandemic and simply cannot let it goNips think it's aimless slop and dropped it years ago
>>283319494I want to see where it's goingIt's like seeing a railway incident, I can't just look away
