Also everything being connected to Helem is getting a bit tiring. Don't get me wrong, this does not absolutely ruin the series for me and I'm not dropping it anytime soon, but there is a lot that Tohru could have handled a bit better in my opinion, both storywise and with pacing.

On top of that I feel like the mangas popularity did pick up steadily after the Elstri/Arkos reaching the village part of the story, a lot of the popularity isn't because of Julian. Random shots of Angvall in the sea drew a lot of people in too. I suppose to sum it up I think the great character designs in general draw more people in than Julians story
