At the medal ceremony the image of his Aunt eaten by dogs interrupted his ocean speech and he couldn't enjoy the scenery of the ocean because of what waits across the other side. Enemies. This is why only mid rumbling when no one can stop him can he enjoy 'That scenery'.The tragedy of these two motivations is that 1. his friends reject the rumbling and will have to conflict with him and 2.
