>>283334426I hate this overanimated trash so fucking much

>>283334426A polite reminder to Gen Z and Gen Alpha that Sakuga =/= Flashy animation.

>>283334426>cinematography is a lost art in japhacks took over the industry. competent people were either retired or pushed out for lacking political power
>>283335507Anime now is made by otakus who growing up watched anime and wanted to make anime. Earlier anime was made by people who failed to become movie directors, novelists and ended up in anime.
>>283334426Goddamn, that's lazy animation.
>>283335202That shit is made for little kids, and the animation reflects that.
>>283334704Yeah
>>283335315
>>283335754
>>283335746Why so hateful?
OPM s1 had all the shit /a/ complains about, go look at saitama vs boros fight again. Yet, /a/ jerks it off to high heaven, there’s a way to do it right. Or maybe /a/ complain about it had it released today
>>283334426why is it that now, every action scene that gets praised back and forth is some incredibly bright lightshow with impossible to follow choreography? its like that gif with that retarded kid being utterly enraptured by some light-up blocks a guy is holding
>>283336177It wasn't overdone back then and not nearly as exaggerated, the full season contains a lot more substantive and solid animation that doesn't go into spasm territory.
>>283334540/a/ is just full of anime hating tourists nowadays
>>283336177The key is having good direction: Saitama vs Boros is easy to follow. There's a lot of lights and smears and shit but each of them are supplemental to the actual animation happening unlike modern sakugaslop where the vfx spam is the "animation." There's probably only like 1 shot in the fight I think is lackluster.
>>283335202unironically the most simple way to explain the truth in this thread
>>283334426Why do they have snouts?
>>283335906I didn't knew i was watching the baseball version of Sanshiro
>>283334426Shit like this makes me retroactively hate Frieren. You see, I watched Frieren and looked to the Frieren copy fight as an example of very cool, impressive animation. I mean, even now it's more intelligent and subdued and measured in its depiction. But see, I haven't been watching mainstream anime for fucking years. Hardly any anime at all really. I didn't watch any JJK or whatever, none of the movies. I thought Frieren's fight was somehow novel or genuinely impressive. Now, it's come to my attention that for several years this is literally just bog standard go-to style choices for anything "well animated" (aka "overanimated"). Smears and impact frames and DROPLET PHYSICS and STARBURST EXPLOSIONS and shit. Seeing all the exact same insanely overdone shit in modern One Piece episodes like that retarded scene of Garp or the scene of Luffy fighting dragon guy.Realizing this is just the stale modern state of animation.P.S. also something I didn't care for in Frieren was the dragon fight with Stark, it felt fast and smeary completely at the cost of any fine detail whatsoever. And especially how some explosions or debri would become "cubified". That cg "cubification" of materials during explosions is yet ANOTHER modern animation trend that they fucking use and it's even worse than all the others.Basically it seems like, I would assume, that one JJK movie set the standard for all anime fights, and now they all just use every single fucking effect that was in that one.
>>283338283>I thought Frieren's fight was somehow novel or genuinely impressive.Same happened with me but it was the final fight in Dragon Ball Super.
>>283334426it's unfortunate when it looks ugly, this only appeals to zoomers and room temp IQspic related how to do it correctly
>>283338283>Shit like this makes me retroactively hate Frieren.yeah we get it you're a low IQ zoom zoomFrieren has great animation
>>283334426All flash lights, no substance. This is sakuga-slop.
>>283336357"anime now" is mostly stich-stills with speedlines though. Well, it was actually worse in late 2010s when "digital" was still in the ongoing process of beginning to properly contribute to profits, but still there are many anime cursed with power-point-slide-tier animation these days.
>bitching about a scene being overly flashy when it's about a hotheaded character with explosion powers going all-out against a major villainYou fags are just being bunch of thoughtless contrarians.
>>283338474Why are they so full of hatred? Not exactly like this place has the best taste anyways. The log is full of slop
>>283338407Funnily enough, your webm is not of the same etymology as op.Your webm is like version 2.0 Yutaka Nakamura, think Sword of the stranger or the Jack the ripper battle from Soul Eater. The OP is version 3.0 Nakamura, think OPM and My Hero Academia.
>>283338407>a little anime girl holding her own against a full grown man is better than a super powered person with explosions at his disposal
>>283338407No it's not. It's not AS bad but it's still the same hyper kinetic flashy spastic bullshit.
>>283339313Samurai Champloo brutally mogs this shit
>>283338749they're sparring dipshit. Ruijerd could destroy her at any time.
>>283338283>2 deadpan boring characters standing at a distance trading puffs of smokeFrieren has the most boring fight animations in anime history.
>>283338283Well the important thing is you realized what a retard you are. That puts you above many others. We are all in our times a fool, but only a moron is content to stay as such.
>>283338749You don't even understand what people are arguing about.
>>283339313That's my wife you posted
If only /a/ was this critical of under animation, cheap slideshows are still more common
>>283340344I think you miss the point of the complaints people are making. The biggest difference is, if you see a bad still shot, people know it's a bad still shot. Nobody looks at it and pretends it's good. Which is what happens in sakuga.
>>283334426The equivalent of jiggling keys in front of a retard to keep their attention.
>>283335202Yeah?Has been for some time anon.
>>283335202Old things aren't better because they're old and there's no reason new things can't be good. But it's pretty clear which side had more people who knew what they were doing.
