Having side ships happening before the leads can be frustrating but I think it's one of the best option if you want to drag a harem. Through the couples happening Yuu is growing. In the other harems that have more than 150 chapters the mc always ends up being wishy-washy and less likeable. Cuckoo has zero development and all the characters are awful, café put more focus on the gags than the actual romance so the ending was hollow.
