You know, we see them get wrecked in massive numbers every time they show up... but we all agree that Noise are fucking terrifying, right? Unless you are one of like 8 people on the entire planet who have the specific gear to fight them with, if Noise show up you are pretty much just fucked. Even running away *probably* won't work, since they can phase through walls an you can't and they are smart enough to set up traps and ambushes. You drop 100 Noise into nearly any other show, and you end up with 100 dead humans. No way around it. Your average shonen battle boy punches them once and kills himself doing it. You need a specific kind of magical protection or you just autolose.

Every Noise is, essentially, a bullet that will chase you down to get the kill. Alca-Noise can kill multiple people in a row without slowing down, and have a couple of other advantages in terms of shit they can do, but the big weakness is that they don't phase so good. Alca-Noise will burn their way through a wall rather than just ghost through it, and you CAN take down an Alca-Noise with enough steady mundane firepower just because eventually you will catch when its phasing flickers and then it takes damage in that momentary gap in its defense. So Alca-noise can wrack up a higher death count, but its also technically possible to fight them. Vanilla Noise you really can't do anything at all to them without magic and half the time your first warning that Noise is there is that they noclipped through the ceiling at you.
