I never understood the strong hatred for her.Being 100% honest, it always felt to me like bandwagoning and resentment by proxy because most of the viewers probably self-insert as Naruto, the loser who overcomes his fears wins in the end with "hard work" (before everyone found out he's actually as genetically gifted as one could ever be)

Sakura is fascinating to me as this rorschach painting because the people who like her have these moments they praise but totally misunderstand how dreadful they are implied to be.Sasuke just before leaving the village after her confession thanking her- because she said something so ignorant and absurd that it sharpened his resolve since his team members could not understand him at all.Or Sakura and Obito opening a portal that Sasuke barely gets through by switching places with a flak jacket. The moment afterward is framed romantically but Sasuke is definitely thinking that he would have sacrificed her to die in Kaguya's desert dimension as the stakes were so high. Meanwhile Sakura has no sense that she would have been treated just like Karin if this piece of equipment hadn't randomly dropped where it was a target for his ability.
