Yutaka Nakamura has done immeasureable damage to Japanese sakuga animation.
For context, I saw Chainsawman today.

Nah, fuck you this was actually pretty good. The animation was smooth, the weight and movement felt natural, and nothing looked spastic. You could clearly tell what was happening thanks to solid camerawork, and the final collision had real impact. Compare that to my webm the difference is night and day.

it's not like it's a new novel thing, the man's being doing that for 30 years now.

bnha is so good. i don't get why hipsters of /a/ hates it, and even the ending was justified. it's not a fujoshi manga, it's shounen, what did they expect? and i thought /a/ used to hate fujoshi

>>283377990
He got really popular with webgen animators scene with that shoto scene though. Shame, his older stuff never inspire anyone.

Were you able to tell who did what parts at a glance?
What part did Kou Yoshinari do?
>>

what was even the direction for this scene
"draw rainbow vomit all over the screen"?

It's a shame the only time /a/ "discusses" animation is when it's raging about "forced animation" or whatever
The depth of discussion on this forum is as deep as a puddle outside of talking about love triangles and powerscaling

Animation is like the garbage man, you only bring it up when it doesn't do it's job. Otherwise you talk about plot, character, cinematography
>>
>>283378273
>forced animation
/v/ talking point. can be ignored.
>>
>>283378396
I do wish we called it something less retarded because it is a major issue but the term doesn't really describe it right. It's a matter of poor cinematography, choreography, general direction stuff.
>>
>>283378243
Filter reddit hy making them see rainbow vomit
>>
>>283377763
Am I supposed to pretend that looks bad?
>>
>>283378446
It's not but the damage it cause to crate so many copycats did.
>>

Never understood retards that couldnt follow simple movement. Im almost certain they're trolling
>>
>>283378384
That's not true at all. Otherwise sakuga otaku wouldn't exist.
>>
>>283378384
This post should be a bannable offense.
>>
>>283378396
There's no use in pretending it's /v/ or whatever. I'm sure an outsider might find it to be a hilarious obsession that /a/ has, calling everything it doesn't like /v/ or reddit.

It’s not about “following the movements,” it’s about fluidity and natural motion. When the action feels exaggerated and unnatural, and the frames only worsen the uncanny stiffness instead of enhancing flow, it’s just bad animation. Being able to follow what’s happening doesn’t automatically make it good.
>>
>>283378681
Being able to follow the animation is literally a *pre-requisite* for animation
You're making a really useless point here

>X had done immesurable damage to Y because a bunch of talentless hacks started lazily copying X’s style without understanding how it actually worked and making it overused

Is the same shit for Weadonism. Weadon has not forced any of these millennials hacks to use his style by keeping their dicks at gunpoint…are the talentless hacks the one that started abusing said style.

Piece of shit scene part of a series long humiliation ritual for the mc
