What has he done with that life? Play coy and fuck around with people despite having a world of new opponents and his renewed health. Instead of being fired up, he just fucks around with a bemused attitude and spouts off empty praise despite never even having a rematch with the man who sent him to his end. Ohma never reached the peak, spent two years sparring with the same Kure over and over, comes back into the public, and is pulling this shit despite his only great accomplishment being beating up on Lolong.

He doesn't really have a well-defined skill set or specialty and his choreography doesn't hardly tell you what martial art he uses. Being a bit of an all-rounder is fine as long as there's something that actually feels distinct about it. Kuroki was basically just a karateka, but his impregnable defense, insane predictions, and signature move make him stand out. Nogi was stuck in the past and had put everything on the line for something that ultimately didn't matter to the other concerned party while Kazuo cared more about the new connection he had formed with Ohma. In a very clear way, Ohma was repeating the choices of Ichinoshin, but there was no pretense that he was being forced to do so and he was quite open about what it was doing to him. It wasn't a sacrifice for his employer, but for himself. Asura has some good moments in the ending, but the corporate side of things didn't measure up. It's a moment that could have been completely omitted and the story would have been better for it. Metsudo somehow knowing Kuroki diminishes the significance of the whole "big fish in a small pond" feeling that Agito was experiencing.

Shen becoming a regular character most coincides with Sandro's change in writing, and you can see the signs of things going sour the moment he and Joji met. I'd say the Berserker Bowl was where the worst habits started to emerge.

Characters acknowledge in universe that some martial arts styles are most commonly used by jobbers. Luohan calls upon a shonen powerup in his match with Shen. Ramon loses because he summons an imaginary knife.
