I just realized what Eden reminds me of: the old RTS game Command and Conquer. It's set in a future world that feels a lot like the real world but with a mysterious substance that has started to infest the planet and new organizations that have emerged to fight over the direction of humanity.In Eden it's the western globalist faction Propater who are exploiting the closure virus as a weapon, while in C&C the globalist faction, called GDI, is fighting against an insurgent third-worldist cult called the Brotherhood of Nod who are creating technology based on the alien substance called tiberium.Like the "disclosure" virus, tiberium can infest people as well as land and causes crystals to grow in places it infests. These crystals are extremely mineral-rich so they're an important resource. Humans who are mutated by tiberium can also be made into cyborgs, kind of like Propater's aeons which are cyborgs created using the closure virus.
