Cosmic Garou was utter trash. The whole sequence with him getting Saitama powers was idiotic, since this chapter shows how that strategy usually goes (it worked the same in the OPM audio dramas). ONE clearly explained to Murata how Saitama's powers work, but he naturally completely misused it. The infinite growth thing was supposed to be implied, and was an explanation as to why copying Saitama doesn't work. Another person getting the same growth ability is idiotic. Garou never worked like that. In the webcomic he clearly hit a wall where further evolution only made him weaker.

How much do this chapter's reveals affect the manga? From what I remember, it had both Drive Knight and a G series participating on opposite sides. Okay here's what I think is going to happen narratively. We have seen in this chapter and a few chapters ago that both Genos and Saitama have been reflecting on their relationship with the other. I think we're headed towards an inevitable fight between the two but with Genos actually trying to kill him. I believe the way it'll pan out is Saitama will realize over the course of the fight how he's been acting towards Genos, and it will end with Saitama finally "acknowledging" him.I think Genos is the AI, and Drive Knight is an incomplete version. I say Kuseno finished it on his own and Drive Knight was the prototype using the unfinished version. This makes sense to me because there was a fair bit of emphasis in 155 about the learning potential of the AI bofoi made and that he'd need to be taught to follow the right path. I think that's a clear setup to show that, while Sairama may be perceived as lazy, he was actually the main thing that steered Genos off the path of genocide. He taught him and raised him in a sense and he was influenced by Saitama. This allows him to break through whatever conditioning and orders Kuseno gives him. It's a perfect setup for Saitama breaking the conditioning by finally "seeing" Genos.On a side note I still think this is the penultimate arc and the finale will be a confrontation, not a fight, between Saitama and Blast as a thematic conclusion to ONE's ideas about heroism and human effort.

Since this is basically the longest arc in the series so far (and we're at least 15 chapters away from the end), what do you guys think so far? I imagine the next 10 chapters will be all the heroes meeting at Neo Heroes HQ + finishing all the S rank hero fights and resolve all the conflicts between Genos/Bofoi/CE, then whatever final showdown with Kuseno for the next 5 chapters (and arc epilogue).
To the anon complaining these twists are predictable, that is a sign ONE is a good mystery writer. A reader attentive and clever enough *should* be able to predict the twists, as otherwise they would be asspulls. To casual readers these are absolute surprises.

Garou vs Saitama is still the best run of chapters so far (most likely will never be surpassed) but the rest of the MA arc was worse and not nearly as well plotted. This arc really feels like ONE nailed how to use the ensemble cast. I dunno how many chapters we are from the end really, it feels like there's still quite a flew plot points left unresolved. At the very least dealing with Genos and Kuseno are two separate but multiple chapter long issues, and between that there's still all the stuff with the remaining neo heroes, Blue, etc...
