It's spooky season, so take some spooky yandere ghost yuri ch29 (and 30 at some point). The amnesiac manga that gives its readers amnesia is back with the shocking conclusion* to Honda vs Masaki.
>>283397481*Sigh* Dropped
Just pretend I've updated this with>Hanamura Masaki: Honda's childhood friend who tried out for De:Lphinus. Bitter under the surface towards Honda. Strangely interested in Michi.>PREVIOUSLY ON AIZAWA-SAN>Attempting to prove she's not gay, Michi joined a gay love triangle (Honda & Masaki). This did not please her gay ghostwife (Aizawa) who got vacuumed into Michi's best friend's body (Kasumi) and decided the DV rate was looking a little low.In middle school, Honda pushed dorky Masaki to become an idol with her. Honda failed early but Masaki made it to the final selection for De:Lphinus, Aizawa's group, flunking out after realizing she only cared about idols if she could duo with Honda. But Honda got jealous of her success and abandoned Masaki when she was bullied out of school. They sort-of made up with lingering bitterness Michi was dragged into. Trying to fix things, Michi agreed to meet Masaki in the nurse's office while Honda walked out again. And Masaki decided to do exactly what high school nurses offices are made for, thinking it would be good foreplay to tell Michi Honda always hated Aizawa before Aizawa hopped in with a steel chair.

>>283397558I would say you win this round, but you did originally say 24th-25th.
What is it with ghosts and strangling.
>>283397677Then I finished ch30 first. I have a hard time working on things in order.
Return of Mini Michi.
I think this is the first time Michi's gotten a clear look at her without everything going crazy? She hasn't been around since ch17's festival at least.
>>283397728Sayaka is being awfully negligent here, leaving her girlfriend to a ghost(?)/detached soul loli
Ominous the way she fades out too. I don't think she got much power back after the festival, just enough to not die.>Masaki quoting 90% of the readers
>>283397624Is Masaki speaking bottom panel?
Michi knows how this goes.Once more it seems like Aizawa shoggothifying is triggered by feeling forgotten.>>283397824It's a quote Aizawa overheard last chapter. Though looking back I changed the line so it needs updating.
In Dorothy's words,>Solve your problems with yelling and violence!
>>283397913HURRY UP AND MASH CLAMS WITH THE GHOST YOU DENSE BITCH
Next chapter: the actual conclusion to Honda vs Masaki. Tomorrow. Also I have a one-shot by Dorothy waiting for Halloween, 2morrow.https://mega.nz/folder/SqoEGRrY#SDVv5jKw1zKuJpLDAyp0mgI'm not sure Arisaku will be back in a week but I still need to do the extras.Sylph's raws will be out in a few days and I still need to do those volume extras too.
>>283397932What ever happened to make love not war?
>>283397913Wait, did Michi's nose just start bleeding in response to Honami witching out?
>>283397932I thought DV among lesbos was just a meme. Anyway, this manga has the best funny faces.
>>283397708Wait if 30 is done already just post it as recompense for making us wait 5 extra morrows.
>>283397992If yuri taught me anything lesbians make love with war.>>283398045It happens when Michi's overwhelmed by Aizawa. I don't think it's directly caused by Aizawa though — rather caused by Michi and something in their connection. Like her powers straining under the pressure. This time's interesting since it only bled for that brief moment.>>283398517I still want to proofread some more. Plus I think it's only sporting to give each chapter a chance to sink in.
>>283397964I kinda feel bad for Reona. She came to stop the violence only to get headbutted and smacked.
>>283397856ayo, this karasuma plumbing? my bitch leakin' again
>>283397664>>283397681>>283397708very hot. we need more girl-on-girl strangulation scenes
>Yuri where the main pair barely talk to each other is cute and funIs there anything yuri can't do?
>>283398598All these gaps are killing my memory of the little minor details of the plot.
>>283397932A real heroine would have stunned them with a kiss.
>>283399298>is cute and funHaha yeah...>>283399509Dorothy's taking another break between volumes so I'll be making another recap. Mostly to update the character chart, the known timeline, and pick up on those minor details that keep adding up. I think Masaki's subplot is pretty straightforward, at least after ch30, but I should probably speedrun that too.She said she doesn't intend to take as long this time, but these breaks are so she can plot each new volume. And more so than most mangaka I get the feeling she writes the entire volume out, intended to be read as a whole. It's practically LN style rather than manga, where you're expected to remember little things chapter to chapter with few callbacks. I don't know how many yurifags are actively following a predominantly het ecchi mag like Comic Valkyrie but Aizawa always gets a big burst of JP discussion with each volume release, so it's not the worst strategy. On that note another tactic Dorothy lifts from novels I rarely see manga attempting is the "firehose of information." Where each page is so packed with details you tend to overlook or underestimate how important some are. The orthodox approach in mystery manga is to shine a spotlight on every new clue, giving them isolated panels and effects so the audience won't miss it. And few juggle hundreds of ongoing unanswered questions. Here Dorothy will casually scatter across a cluttered page DeLphi's agency opening recruitment for a new idol unit and you might not consider the implications on a first read. It's a really demanding manga but if you're going to go full conspiracy autism I don't think there's much yuri like it. Especially with its bipolar tone. And so far it feels like all the questions are congruent, seemingly matching up where you're always a few key pieces short. Of course I have the benefit of being forced to reread multiple times while translating.
>>283400246Seemingly random question, but who is your favorite hitodenashi and why is it Miko? I ask because it's obviously noighdcore manga.
>>283398598>proofreadAre you that worried about another FBー incident?
God these lesbians are violent, aren't they?
>>283397532Not enough arrows to Seta. He may be the token boy, but all of the school crew would act rally to him if he was in trouble.Damn. No one's getting out of this one without a bunch of new scars. Not even the ghost.>>283400246Thanks for keeping track of the details. It's hard to remember that this has been going for over three years at this point. It may be dense and bipolar, but I'm glad it's playing its horror concept straight amidst the fluff. Thanks as always for the hard work.
>>283397756Kasumi is supernaturally free-use
>>283397964Thanks for the chapter. I know the bitter fags on 4chan will clown you for working on a lot of series that happen to get axed but I admire that you're one of the only scanlators in the yuri scene that actually gives a shit about trying to help the mangaka. As I've gotten more into reading yuri and yuri doujin over the years I notice that a lot of the translators on Dynasty and their Discord server care more about dumb shit like being super anal about typesetting rules and circlejerking before even considering the prospect of helping a mangaka shill their manga.
>>283397681why is she so mad godam
>>283397481Thanks, OP!
>>283400559Because I like her internal conflict, instilled humanity vs monster nature that won't ever reasonably settle. You could question if it's even justified applying human morality to a monster, like Disneyfying predatory animals (though Miko got a liiittle too into it) but now centuries of repentance don't erase the guilt she's grown into. Her status as makeshift guardian doesn't enable her to do half as much as she'd like. In her mind she's always making up for failures rather than accepting the good she's done. Miko's an interesting pained protector character. She could have been a simple yaya but she's a lot more than that (besides fish x fox is superior). It's hard to dislike a selfless yet sharp-tongued genki girl. Plus her serpentine fox form is super sick. And mttk is my favorite hoshikuzu.>>283401197Hey I've always been a heavy proofreader. I just don't see the trees for the forest sometimes when reworking a line. I will FB― again.>>283401359>Not enough arrows to Seta. He may be the token boy, but all of the school crew would act rally to him if he was in trouble.I have to do it for the funnies, but I really do think he's a great male yuri character. Even if he was used for a slight romantic misunderstanding, he's comically adamant about not being interested. His minor role as supernaturally tone deaf drama queen makes him perfect for addressing spooky topics sometimes when the others are too restricted by plot. You can tell Dorothy respects him despite being a gag character.
>>283397964Much appreciated. And I also mean that in the sense that I'll miss it if it's gone, compared to some of the others I'm reading where I'll just shrug.I don't discuss it as much as Arisaku, but horror has generally been consume not discuss for me. Because well, horror is horror partly because it's arbitrary for the most part. Fun to read, but I rarely find them providing fodder for discussion.
>>283397481>pic look nice>yuriNo thank
>>283401887not a fan of her still alive maybe-girlfriend getting raped, I imagine
>>283405432it feels more personal than that
>>283397873>>283397932The stylistic contrast between these 2 pages is really something.
>>283405364Kys
>>283404068I think it's a pretty settled question. She chooses to live as a human and generally avoids using her supernatural abilities to solve human problems. Of course, when rogue youkai show up, she solves those as a youkai would, but her whole point is not only acting as a sort of detached guardian deity, but integrating herself into society to the fullest extent possible. Really, Shiori's blood seasoning Hinako is the only real spanner in the works. That was kind of the point of the Tsubaki arc: Miko is free to be human purely based on her own choices. Certainly, aspects of her personality are instilled based on guilt, and Hinako's family does appear to be a particular sore spot even if they traveled outside the domain of her protection, but beyond that, her goody-two-shoes nature isn't merely a form of atonement. She's grown to see humanity for what it is, the good and the wicked, and chosen for herself to embody the ideals of what she's come to appreciate in humanity. She's landbound to a certain extent, but within those confines, her actions are purely based on her own choices. Sure, atonement is part of it, but her sense of love outweighs even that. Were she unbound, her personality would be no different.
>>283407429The funny thing is, she has all the markings of a character I ought to dislike: she's a Yaya, flat, short, twintailed, can never say no, gyaru, and worst of all a tsundere. And yet she's written so endearingly I can't help but support her. There are a few aspects that play into this. Firstly, as I was reading the manga as it was realeasing, it seemed to me the author had done too good of a job making Shiori seem like a monster, and Hinako was little better, being so defined by a rather realistic, non-romanticized depiction of depression. Miko above all was the human element in the story. Granted, subsequent plot twists did put more stock in Shiori's character. It also helps that she has zero tsun towards Hinako, and all of it is directed at fish instead, who deserves it and more. She's also gracefully accepted that Shiori can offer Hinako something she herself cannot, and instead of trying to leverage Shiori's shortcomings to sabatoge her run in the Hinakob owl, she sets her straight on what's best for Hinako. And while Hinako is on board with fish x fox, Miko really deserves someone better. Both Hinako and Shiori are selfish hitodenashi and for all Miko has done, she deserves someone who isn't a total project.Matataki was the first major shakeup to the expected Kirara formula, but the Bad Alien arc was the highest degree of dramatic gayngst and really elevated the manga for me. Visual design aside, they're nothing alike.
>>283404068>>283407429While I assume most if not all of us here has already read the manga. It's probably better to keep spoilers tagged. Since the anime is airing now after all.Though I'll also be surprised if anyone in this thread hasn't actually read it. It felt like it was one of the bigger one's everyone has read back when it came out.
>>283404068Excellent taste x2
>>283407619>the markings of a character I ought to dislike>twintailedBut points docked for this.
>>283397681>>283397708I love these genuinely scary moments in this manga, because due to the overly cute yuri vibe you kinda forget this is a ghost story, so they really come out of nowhere and make for an effective jump scareLike, i imagine a tense yet adorable emotional lesbian moment with gentle music....and then hearing something likehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dObgtdYxZFE
>>283407952I honestly can't explain why.
>>283401359>No one's getting out of this one without a bunch of new scars. Not even the ghost.De:Lphinus more like D: elphinus
>>283409937I would guess because of the association with tsunderes.
>>283408131This manga is emotional whiplash central. You’ll have 80% of a chapter be wacky chibi slapstick gags and characters acting like they’ve got 2 brain cells fighting for dominance, then end with some fucked up nightmare fuel and a character dropping some cryptic dialogue that only compounds the confusion of what’s going on. Compelling shit though
>>283410105Perhaps, but it goes deeper, I think. I'm a long hair supremacist (I'll never forgive being denied long hair Baruyo-oneesama), but for twintails specifically, I think hair like Miko's or Matataki's look better than >>283407952I don't mind Madoka's either and I even prefer her long hair in ultimate form which still keeps the twintails.
>>283397964Chapter 30. The chapter that will make everything make sense (for this side character subplot only before introducing new questions you never even thought to ask).
"Here goes! Shining Star" is a Sailor Moon theme which pulls double duty for Masaki's star vision and "Mizu"'s name reveal completing the DeLphi Sailor Moon reference.
This chapter makes it clear how much Masaki respects Aizawa, not as an idol but a person. Which makes Aizawa's hatred of her kind of funny.
Michi's grown so much.
That's an "I care for you" kinda like (but Masaki was probably confused for a second).
The dead speak (not Aizawa).
Creative way to confess.
>>283412794Is this the new "tsuki ga kirei desu ne"?
Crazy what communication in a romcom can accomplish.
>>283412895Okay, Honami, now carefully spook them so they kiss. Just try not to fall inside one of them.
It's been so long since Aizawa was being a background goober in half the panels. Nature is healing.
You forgot didn't you.
Happening.
>>283413072She's going to notice Honami, isn't she?
HAPPENING
Enter. She has the fuzzy ghost seeing eyes.
>>283397481>pic look nice>yuriIt's fucking peak..
>>283413199>>283413235So is Nagi an undead Yaya out for revenge against Michi?
And we're caught up. Just in time for the manga to go on a 2-3 month break.I will still have a spooky one-shot by Dorothy for Halloween tomorrow.https://mega.nz/folder/SqoEGRrY#SDVv5jKw1zKuJpLDAyp0mgI wouldn't be surprised if Arisaku misses next week as well. But I'll try to do vol2's extras next month + Sylph's vol5 extras.Sylph should be getting a new chapter tomorrow too.>>283413284>introduce a yaya>she's already suffered so much she's fucking dead
Ok so the malevolent spirit is the ghost of a ghost eyes yaya that mysteriously died somehow after joining De:Lphinus… but before they actually became publicly official or made it big? Am I getting that right?
>>283412794>>283413235>>283413271Great, now we have to autistically catalog every instance of this star thingy.
>>283413154>>283413199>>283413235Notably, Honami doesn't speak here, also she seems to be cursed based on all the tripping.
>>283414070>Honami was actually a one-of-a-kind mute idol>It's commonly known so nobody thought to mention it until nowBut seriously, what are they implying with this one? Is Nagi stealing her talent or something?
>>283412895but it's PCs not NPCs that need their hands held and diapers changed and yellow cum regurgitated into their little beaks...
>>283414707>mute idolIf there wasn’t that bit about the other idols covering her section of a song this is the kind of twist that wouldn’t even shock me at this point.
>>283413047Where the fuck did Honami get that nurse hat?
>>283413020Seta-bros, we're not forgotten.
Michi is one hell of a faggot.

>>283413350That wrapped up nice and clean. Micchi unlocked her Shonen hero powers to beat people into being friends. Kasumi's brief tandem-wrestling career with Aizawa is giving her special eyes. And we finally see the face of the antagonist who conveniently not Cronenberg-ing at the moment. And likely the person who will get Aizawa to move on after all is said and done. The break sucks but at least the story seems like it will end fully-cooked. I hope. Thanks as always.
>>283416702same
>>283417281>the closest thing she had to a love interestI'm not sure Miho feels the same way about the girl who tried to give her a premature viking funeral. She wasn't all that broken up about it when she died But i sure was
>>283419607Same. Conversely, I didn't care for the President getting shivved despite the background story with the Vice Prez.
>>283397681>>283397708This probably isn't the first time this has happened to Masaki, but it may be the first time she didn't know why it was happening.
