But I love Tolkien stuff and have read Silm lik 6 times while my favourite animu is Mushishi.

The Japanese are just stuck in this isekaishit and JRPGfaggotry rut at the moment and producing total shit. They can still make nice Japanese folklore/mythology stuff, like Natsume, when they want to.
