The beginning is slow, but it helps building up the mystery and terror of the show and the second half is very cathartic and makes the struggle of the first episodes worth it. The show is surprisingly creepy for an anime, who aren't exactly the best at horror, with an OST perfect for this kind of anime. It's not a sakugafest, but the combination of OST, art and voice delivery makes it very enjoyable. Doctor Ozaki is the best character by far, with buff old man being the best supporting chara.Also, if possible, don't miss the special episodes of the show (episodes 20.5 and 21.5 respectively), they're actually an expansion of the main story and tells what happened with some supporting characters and explains why a certain event in the finale that can come as an asspull happens. Plus, best girl is the main character of the second episode, so there's that.
