what's our honest thoughts on fire punch?
it's experimental which is a good thing but i quickly lost track of what was happening, and by the end of the story i had no idea what was going on.
>>283429847it's fun
genuine masterpiece up there with tezuka and ishinomoriI refuse to believe fujimoto wrote it
Kino
>>283429847It's retaded dogshit
>>283429847I'm so glad I got to read the story time on /a/ 5 years ago
>>283429900It really wasn't difficult to understand, anon. Are you sure you were paying attention?
Despite the memes ans contrarian retards saying it's bad because the mainstream and CSMtards found it I still really liked it. The art is great, the setting is compelling, the characters are weird, the story is nonsensical in a good way. Overall a unique experience.
>>283429847It's weird how up front Fire Punch is with its main theme for it to be so hard to see what CSM is going for.
It's weird and stupid and sometimes it has no direction but when it hits the emotional beats it does it masterfully and somehow this ties everything together, the only other thing Fujimoto has written that barely comes even close to it is the vampire girl one shot
>>283429847I read it after finishing CSM part 1, and it's curious how Fire Punch is better and a more coherent than CSM, but I enjoyed CSM more. I like Fire Punch but man is it dark
>>283429847It's Fujimoto trying to figure out his own existential thoughts. It doesn't really make a lot of sense but there's a lot of heart in it and its a lot of fun. I love it.
>>283434860>more coherent
>>283429847It is a mess but its fun to read
>>283429847It's definitely going to get adapted, with how big of a boner Japan has for Fujimoto at this point
>>283429847like the other anons said, it's retarded/shit but it has fun moments
>>283429847Greatest fujimoto work
