Since I’ve also just finished the three seasons as well, I thought I’d share my overall thoughts on them too.SuiteVery consistent throughout its run, although the misunderstandings in the first cour to have Hibiki and Kanade bicker with each other did start to get a little silly, so I was glad when that part eventually got resolved and the show stopped relying on it.I felt it really hit its stride once Ellen joined the protagonists as she became much more enjoyable than when she was the main general (I’m not a huge fan of mind control as a plot point and her interactions with Hummy during this time were a bit repetitive.)Ako’s addition to the group was solid, although I wish she joined sooner so she could have more time to bounce off the rest of the cast outside of her earlier cameos in episodes to be snarky. It would’ve been better if she actually spoke when disguised rather than have Dodori say everything for her. I don’t think it would have required much reworking to have her join earlier even with being tied to Mephisto’s purification, as she could have just talked to the others sooner and told them what was going on. Hummy was a standout and entertaining the whole time even though she could be a little too stupid at points (mostly early on), but she and the fairy tones could still provide good comic relief each episode. She felt the most involved in the plot as well compared Mofurun and the HC trio, which was nice. As a character, she is probably my favourite of the mascots.(1/2)

A special mention to Kanon ending up being my favorite design of the towns as it was more than just a regular city like in the other seasons.The OP was catchy, but the EDs were a step above. I preferred Wonderful Powerful Music compared to Kibou Rainbow, but it was still very good and are probably my favorite EDs of the shows I’ve seen so far beside HC ED2. Overall score: 8/10Hibiki > Ellen > Kanade > Ako (hampered by her lack of time as a main character, and also had the weakest Cure design)

Both had little dialogue as well so they couldn’t even have the benefit of being entertaining when they were on screen either.The side characters were pretty average, but I did like how the Headmaster tried to take an active role with the Cures, even though I wish he wasn’t regulated to being a jobber who fizzles out after a couple of spells.I will say that the ending itself was stronger than Suite’s and parts of Heartcatch’s as well, as well as Mofurun turning back into a normal teddy bear for a few years leaving Mirai alone hit me in the feels again, but I think it would have been a bit more effective if they reorganized some things (i.e. ep 47 + 48 be the final battle, 49 the separation + timeskip, and 50 the reunion + ending). I felt like the epilogue episode kind of detracted from the somewhat emotional ending, especially when it was probably just to throw in the Ichika cameo. In terms of the OP/ED, the start/end of the OP was an earworm, and the EDs being sung by the Cures was surprising and was kind of surprising how rare that is and wonder why they never bothered doing it until Maho.Overall score: 7/10Liko > Haa-chan > Mirai(2/2)(I have a lot to say about Heartcatch so it'll take a while to write up)

This is because the story's overarching themes of -love, its many shapes and colors, and the countless consequences of love and loss- are what take center stage. We see exactly what we need to see of Hime, her homeland, and her parents. What would it have even added to give them voice actors/characters or more screen time? Nothing. It would have satisfied the midwits, but it would not have served any meaningful story purpose, because their purpose had long since been served before ever getting to the "conclusion" anyway.Yet again, we witness more smooth-brains getting shaken out through the filter of Happygiga Chads. It was doubly important because the major first part of the show was about how Hime fucked everything up and Iona was pissed off about it and in the end it got swept under the rug in a 5 second scene where Hime's parents (who are the rulers of Iona's homeland too) didn't even get a voice role. Instead, make way for Megumi's love life retardation.Hacha has its good moments, but everything involving Hime past the 2nd cour is half baked and unfinished, which is a shame because they had some real potential for gold there which can be seen from how they handled the whole Megumi vs. Mirage battle.
