I like the philosophy behind trying to train up "the ultimate striker" as well, as I played a lot of soccer in my youth and it makes sense you'd want a super competitive, egoistic, and hungry for goals striker in soccer. I imagine scoring the game winning goal in something as big as the world cup, the entire world watching you, must be one of the most ultimate feelings only given to a chosen few. Also because it's an anime there isn't anything stupid as fuck ruining the watching experience like pretending to be hurt and flopping like a retard. Watching actual soccer kind of sucks. Playing is fun as hell though and that anime got me harder than most sports anime. Could just be that most previous soccer anime were really boring and shit.

>>283451649>>283451807Also a lot of the techniques used in Blue Lock are exaggerated, but most of them (until the Neo Egoist League) are possible in real life they just don't look nearly as flashy as the anime-ified versions. In Haikyuu Kageyama is breaking the laws of physics and handling the ball with such inhuman accuracy that they can pull off the craziest quick known to man consistently hundreds of times per game. Not only that, but the blockers can read and react block to it as well, something that would be literally impossible. The freak quick is so fast commit blocking would be the only way to block that in real life, even if you were used to the attack. You can't react that fast and move into the perfect position that fast. So it's kind of neat seeing high level techniques be amped up and also be able to look at someone doing it in a real game. Until Isagi pulls the fucking pistols out.
