I find it funny how people are still so traumatized by Naruto that any hint of "destiny" or "bloodline" in a series turns them away, no matter how unimportant it ends up being to the actual characters or story. As soon as a character is revealed to be part of a prophecy or related to someone important, this apparently erases all of their other character traits and relationships and becomes their entire personality (regardless of whether this revelation has any significant impact on the character's characterization or not).
