My bet is that Fujimoto will pull out deus ex machina. He already retconnes whole arcs and leads plot in circles with new inventions. That wouldn't be something like a grand resolution, just something that he figured out could be a convincing ending.

The "angels" are his followers, and I think the Devils and their fears being erased might be symbolic of their sins being forgiven, aka erased by Pochita. That country/town mouse story is told to clearly ilustrate different world views and to hint that they are not meant for each otherThe only way I see it is if denji does 180 on his world view and decided to run away from the town mouse life style which caused him so much pain. And I can totally see fujimoto doing a call back to the ballad of the soldier movie as denji stated he will remember it for life and it just so happens that this movie explores themes of reunion after soldier comes back from war and starts putting needs of others ahead of his own (reze's yearn for country mouse lifestyle)
