Imagine how much money it would’ve made if Indians didn’t hate it.

What went so right? How did CSM go from selling 1735 Blu-ray copies to this?

Indians were based for once? I guess the broken clock always exists

Is CSM not popular in India? Why might that be?
I know having an actual interest in India and trying to understand their society is a no-no on the racehate forum but still.

>While Infinity Castle earned over $9 million in India, Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc has only made around $350K in its first 5 days. Due to low ticket sales, most cinemas across India have already pulled the film just days after release.
>Reze Arc had decent hype before launch, but it struggled at the box office for several reasons. The movie received an ‘A’ rating in India, which blocked a large part of its teenage fanbase.
>Most theaters showed it on fewer screens, especially compared to Infinity Castle which had over 750 screens and strong pre-booking interest.
>The long 3-year gap between the anime’s first season and this movie also cooled off the hype.
>And unlike flashy, fast-paced anime films like Jujutsu Kaisen 0 or Demon Slayer, Reze Arc had a slower, more emotional tone in the first half, which may not have matched what casual Indian viewers expected from a shounen film.
>The movie is still doing well in Japan and hasn’t flopped overall, but its India release has definitely disappointed many Chainsaw Man fans.

>It's at $130 million USD in total right now.
>$53 million more to be JJK 0.
>The rate at which people are seeing the movie actually increased in the last week, probably due to seeing all the positive reviews and people deciding to see it multiple times while it is still in theatres.

In retaliation Fujimoto will draw a chapter where India is annihilated by the dysentery devil

>>"The movie is still doing well in Japan and hasn’t flopped overall"
What a disingenuous wording, lmao. It's literally on track to earn $160M-$170M now, all while being on a $4M budget. Mappa and Toho originally expected the movie to earn around $70M in total.

Daily Dose of Anime is the worst and lowest quality source of anime news on the internet. They do nothing but ragebait and dickride "aura" slop like Solo Leveling and Demon Slayer. They are trying hard to downplay CSM's movie success right now. Even bringing up Jeet sales for some reason (a Jeet probably runs the account).

You understand you don't get any of this money right?

The anime was well received in the west, only japanese people disliked it.

But sir...we WON! Don't you understands???
>>
>>283484676
because they like action slop with no plot
they are unironically one of the greatest supporters of zach snyder, they light fireworks off in their theatre etc. etc.
I shit you not, the Chainsaw Man movie was too high brow for them. Yes really.

>>283485112
The west literally has no impact on bluray sales, it was received poorly from a global point of view.

Toilet Devil would be unstoppable over there.

You do realize this means they can now invest many more millions into making season 2?

The budget was literally only $4 million for such a masterpiece. If it barely got by then season 2 would have have had a similar budget. Because of its success, they can justify a greater production cost going forward.
