After years and years of trying to swallow the chink pill, I'm finally giving up. I was really trying to give donghua every chance I could. I don't have a terminal allergy to anything chinese like some people, the god of cooking and from china with love are among my favorite movies, thus i assume china can produce media of some quality. But when it comes to animation it's like they completely lose it. Every single donghua I've seen (but I'm ready to assume it's literally every single one) has colossal pacing issues. It's like they are aiming towards demographics of your average ipad toddler with incinerated dopamine receptors, so they are trying to squeeze in a physical maximum amount of stuff happening in every single second of their show. Even watching TikTok on 4x speed is probably not as overwhelming. Is this how pacing in narration works in china, or are they literally taking their audience for a bunch of braindead monkeys who are only able to respond to such aggressive keychain wiggling before their face?

>Read the Book
>Lower your expectation to good
>Don't listen to Chinkshills or even it's fans
There, it's an enjoyable experience now

Just stick to classic Hongkong and Taiwan cinema and some of newer Chinese cinema when it comes to China, Donghua is shit. You did the right thing
>>

You have a better taste in Chinese than Chinkshills by default. It's not a praise though, more like a warning that you can never trust Chinkshills in giving you something good

It is the story and the values that the writer upholds that really grinds my gears

There is no sense of humility and goodwill. Everything is just a matter of chasing after hedonistic goals and looking good for the audience. Not to mention the blatant worship of money and social hierarchy

It disgusts me to no end
It's exactly what you'll find in a God-less world

Stop making threads of this shitty show, is not even anime

Chink writing is just totally incomprehensible to a normal human being.

Trust me, my expectations can't be lower. It's not the plot im complaining about. Ulra speed pacing kills it for me.

>>283502820
I posted this shit here so you people would try to prove me wrong, but damn, 3/3 votes for "screw donghua" is grim.

>>283502851
Just as i said, i know it is possible for chinese people to make a good story. I just want to be proven wrong. But alas

Donghua is indeed shit and I Don't understand why Chinks and Chinkfags are so adamant in pushing them here when they could just go to /co/ and brag about Hongkong and Taiwanese cinema if they crave praises and recognition that much
>INB4 Hongkong and Taiwan are not China
Chink posters in this board always say that Hongkong and Taiwan belong to China. Why don't they work extra hard to convince people to hat those two really belong to China like how they work extra hard to convince people that their Dongslop is good

>the god of cooking and from china with love
Anon, you already took the Chinkpill (the good one). Why did you took the bad Chink pill that makes you vomit all over the place?

Speaking of which, how did it get away with having skeletons? I thought China had banned skeletons? Is the ban over?

Because i really wanted to love this. Back in the day a similar thing happened with anime for me. I was thinking that it's cringe beyond belief until i was finally peer pressured into loving it. So i was trying to get over my pain threshold of cringe with donghua too. The weirdest thing is that the issues i described were somewhat present in a lot of other chinese media but not to such an extreme degree by a long shot. It's like this is some sort of chinese conspiracy to make my life miserable specifically

LotM is their golden child for spreading chinkshillism, that's why probably

So, what went wrong with it? Maybe they didn’t advertise it enough?

Do it Xi Pooh please so I can just go full manga/LN already I already drop 70% of what I pick up anyway.

My guess is that this show is optimized for an internal audience and now it's a fish out of the water situation. No amount of sakuga can save your show if it's a strobing adhd mess. They need to learn how to adapt to the worldwide audience

Chinese anime (or media in general) is everything bad about anime but amped to 11. It's webnovel writers whose only frame of reference is other webnovels or anime that get tied up into a incestous loop of excessive tropes rather than professional writers who are grounded by real world experiences. When your "best work" is pretty much another variant of isekai or progression fantasy, then you know things are dire.

I don't doubt China has good writers, but they certainly aren't being hired in the ACG scene there.

Sad. It's not even my favorite this year (that'll be Panty and Stocking S2.)
Worst part is that I actually kind of agree with you, except for the fact that this was actually good.

Lord of the Mysteries has smart characters written stupidly.

Ciel Dubois from Circle of Inevitability is a smartly written smart character. When Ciel kills a hotel room full of three people he books the room next door so he can examine it, finding which walls he can stab and shoot through, what flammable materials there are, whether there is enough space to break-dance, etc. This is a smart thing to do because Ciel is a smart person who is written by another smart person who understands how smart people think.

If Detective Sherlock Moriarty from Lord of the Mysteries were to kill a hotel room full of three people. He'd enter using a secret door in the hotel he found via divination. He'd throw a mystic item infected by True Creator ravings near one guy causing him to lose control. The second person would then immediately die, as planned, as it's a "reasonable development" for the woman to be torn to shreds by the first guy who turned into a mad monster. As for the third man, why Sherlock doesn't kill him at all. It's a reAson.b!e devel0pmenT fOr tHe 3rD mAn to di3 fRom A heArt aTta--- After turning around counter-clockwise, the third man removes his disguise to reveal he actually WAS Sherlock the entire time. But Sherlock just entered through the secret door and killed two people, how can there be two of him? The first Sherlock removes his disguise to reveal that he is actually Lanevus attempting to frame the detective. Sherlock however anticipated this, the two dead people stand up, they're Sherlock's friends, Maric and Sharron, their deaths were just an act. "But Sherlock!" Lanevus cries, "The two of them looked like they clearly lost control or died, the woman even lost her head, how do you explain that?" Because I am better at using the thing behind my glabella, Sherlock inwardly Lampoons, the end.

This is retarded because Sherlock is a smart person written by a stupid person to whom smart people are indistinguishable from wizards.
