I read Sigma a long time ago, but I never looked at the manga adaptation of the earlier volumes. This one seems to make Sousuke look manlier.

I think a weakness of the post-Gonzo anime adaptations, and the manga adaptations, is that they stick too close to the main plot and don't mix in enough of the comedy material. I like the main story, but the side material really breathes life into the series. Similar to Tower of Druaga, where the show itself is good, but the first episode hijinx are just on a different level.

I always felt it was unfortunate that they abandoned FMP because they still could have adapted Dancing Very Merry Christmas which has very little Arm Slave action except for Alastors.
