Have you ever cried whilst watching anime?
>>283517965I can't even imagine how kino Gojo vs Sukuna would be. MAPPA is amazing.
>>283517965>Have you ever cried whilst watching anime?Only vanilla hentai.
>>283518062oh...
>>283517965Why are fireworks kisses so much KINO?
Rarely outright bawling but tearing up pretty frequently
>>283517965Initial D when the AE86 breaks down the first timeJoJo during Most deathsLove Live when Honoka faints mid performanceLegendary Gambler Tetsuya when Boshu diesIf we're counting manga as well, Ten's final arc
>>283517965I teared up in theaters watching Your Name, and I was a mess during the last episode of Made in Abyss S1.
>>283517965Many times
>>283517965It's pretty much the only thing that can make me cry these days.
All the timeI cant even recall how many timesI'm a very emotional person when it comes to mediaI'm kinda broken cause when it comes to real life I don't really give a shit about human suffering or anything like thatWhen I hear about an earthquake happening or something and tons of people dying I'm just like "lol, sucks 2 suck"
whilst? noafter i've finished watching and spend time ruminating on it? a few times
>>283519745Based ruminator
>>283517965That made me more aroused than sad.
No lol, what is this question even?
>>283517965Aria the Origination famously gets most viewers. You know the scene.
>>283519011Your Name for me too. Radio episode in Ruri rocks. When Aoi finally climbed Fuji-san.
On Digimon Tamers’ ending.
I cried when Naruto kissed Sasuke, that was the time I knew Japan was beginning to fall
yes
>>283517965Yeah basically all of Clannad After Story
>>283517965A bunch, yeah. I like watching/reading a lot of maudlin romance drama and let myself get caught up in it. Reading manga gets the waterworks going really easily but that's usually just because I read it on an ipad lying in bed and looking up at a light source like that makes my eyes water.
>>283520396>YOU PROMISED TAKATOMON>YOU PROMISEDI can remember feeling hollow as a kid, for days
>>283520782>>283520396Wow what the fuck I either missed it as a kid, or completely forgot, that they find an eentrance to the digital world at the literal last second. That makes it a lot better.
>>283517965Yes, kimi no na wa and I want to eat your pancreas
>>283521101Why my pancreas? :(
>>283517965Yeshttps://youtu.be/q6LHX-HmCNE?si=g6PMZQY-Rq_cdP27
>>283517965Girls Bravo. In all seriousness, we're being asked to go on an emotional journey in some works, and take that path knowingly; why wouldn't you when story, direction and music come together?
>>283517965Rarely, but yes. MyGO ep 10 most recently.
>>283517965There are certain anime that get me emotional, leading me to tear up while rewatching them or remembering them>pic relatedI've full blown cried during shows before:>K-ON!!>s-CRY-ed>Clannad>Haibane Renmei>From Up on Poppy Hill
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaVLBzG5LJ0
>>283517965No. I didn't cry. It was just raining. A lot.
kemono friends had me tearing updimple getting killed in mob psycho had me tearing upthats about it
>>283517965Probably easier to list anime I haven't cried to. I have like a problem.
>>283519722Why are we like this? I'm the same, anime or fictional media in general, books, comics, etc. can make me cry, but even relatives passing away don't seem to affect me irl, let alone people's suffering, natural disasters, wars, historical genocide, etc.
>>283521621This. Probably AOTY for me.
>>283523855Just skitzoid things <3
>>283523908well then. not to self diagnose, but I learned something new today about myself...
>>283517965Weirdly, only One Piece unfortunatelyAce's Death hit me way too hard.
Quite a few times, though I cry more frequently reading manga. I am a self-admitted crybaby though.
>>283523980 Don't feel bad, anon. I've been reading the manga since 2007 and I was the chapter within minutes of MangaStream dropping their translation back in the day. I went cry but it hit me pretty fucking hard. Originally though I've cried over it on a re-read.
Clannad After Story and AnoHana come to mind.
>>283524028Thanks>I've cried over it on a re-readThat is the weirdest thing about it, his death consistently gets me crying even upon re-read.I guess it is just unpacked baggage on my side.
>>283523959Don't feel bad manYou're just different from mostThey call it a "personality disorder" because it's not the standardBut who gives a shit about the standard anyways?I've seen what normalfags are like and tney can go fuck themselves
I don't have a screenshot but when Yajirou talks to his mom over the phone in Uchouten Kazoku
>>283517965>cry to even the smallest emotional moment when alone>physically unable to shed tears in front of othersAnyways yes, a silent voice still wrecks me after many rewatches
>>283519722>>283523855everyone is like this, even normalfags, they just don't notice as much. disasters happening far away from you don't affect you because you have no emotional investment in the people there. same thing goes for when a family member you talk to once a year and have no emotional connection to dies.if you were close to them you would feel it. much like you feel it when you watch a really good anime and are emotionally invested in their story and something really good or bad happens to them. the characters become like a real person who you're really close to.you can feel that way about real people too but it's harder because real people are complicated and suck a lot of the time.
mygo ep 3 made me cryi related to tomori quite hard of what had happened to me recently back then
>>283524462thanks anon, that certainly helps ease my mind, I guess I'm not as schizoid ...
You guys get anything cool from your theater? I got this reze poster and pochita stickers my second time.
>>283517965I only remember crying at the end of card captor when syaoran and Sakura say farewell at the airport when I was a kid.Specifically when platinum started playing.Last time an anime made me choke up was whem ayy setsuna meets up with Marina and hugs her.Not even sure why those two specifically.
Very rarely, only things that did were the Code Geass ending when i was 16, when some random old dragon passed away that had appeared only in that episode on Mahoutsukai no Yome(no idea how this happened), Askeladd's death in Vinland Saga and the ending of Saikyo Densetsu Kurosawa.Only on Code Geass was it actual crying, the rest just getting teary-eyed.
>>283517965Off the top of my head, Eureka Seven, Angel Beats and Anohana got me, also >>283523776I know others did too but those two are the easiest examples to remember.
>>283517965
Sora not Woto - Kanata playing Amazing Grace from atop tank-kunNanoha A's - Two mechanisms requesting upgrades
>>283524503If it matters, my grandmother died a couple of days ago. We were not very close because she lived far away and I never talk on the phone. I mostly only cared about how my father was feeling. You tend to care about what you have in front, as that other anon said
>>283524760>Eureka SevenThe scene with Anemone?
only for my wasted fucking time
>>283517965Only clannad, the only piece of fiction that made me cry
>>283517965Yeah I might have shed a tear or two. The emotional buildup for this moment was pretty intense
There are lots of Mushishi scenes that make me tear up but in the first episode, the moment the vase breaks and the music drops is very sad
i cri everytiem
>>283523312>S-CRY-edLol.
>>283523855>>283524462It's harder to feel bad for things that are not closest to you, but it's easier to feel bad about things that effect you personally or what is closest to you by default. It does not make you a schizo or anything negative, it's just normal.
I cried at the end of season 1 of Frieren once the ending music started playing>We don't do long goodbyes, because it would be embarrassing once we see each other again
>>283523682I know what you mean, literally one of the best scenes in GITS. It's sad not many have watched it or understood what it conveys about technology, the spirit and society itself. Some things run deeper than words on a page. The fact the Tachikoma gained sentience was very huge.
>>283524849How is Nanoha A? I am just catching up on Symphogear so far and I have liked it, I do see Nanoha on my recommendations, is it worth watching?
First 3 eps of Sundays without God. Where she helps her dad die properly and buries him next to her momhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naRaJqDFLgo
>>283525484in the fansubs I think they played the lyrics of the song and it was synced up so perfectly with that moment and it was just T_T...
When Frieren found the blue moon weed
>>283524540Where are you? I only got pochita stickers
>>283520575Probably the only grown up here.
