I'm in despair! Being born on November 4th has left me in despair!
Happy birthday Sensei
Born tomorrow? Wow, welcome to Earth, little newfag. You showed up at a horrible, horrible time.
Happy birthday, sensei!

I'm in despair! The lack of replies has left me in despair!
happy birthday
The demographic replacement of this board to seamonkeys and favelitos has most certainly left me in despair.
Should I read his manga? I tried giving the anime a shot a long time ago, but it felt like a bunch of cultural references that I wouldn't appreciate without some heavy research.
>>283524960there's an obscene amount of cultural references but you wouldn't be any more lost than the average anon in 2007 when it first came outthe material still holds upJapan has not changed that much since 2007, only the names of the relevant people
>>283525075also keep in mind that full scanlations were not finished until some years ago, over a decade after the original run.just watch the anime desu
>>283524960I didn't mind not understanding the cultural references, the anime was still hilarious

>>283520342But how could someone celebrating the day they were brought into this wonderful world ever be in despair?

>>283520342What's wrong with November 4th?
>>283527930Nami is not that big
>>283527988wait what?
>>283527988wouldnt it be in september?
>>283524960It is cool but it has too much Japanese soccer and baseball references. In the last chapters the story goes ballistic in the best ways possible.
>>283530004it's hard to measure since most of the times a lot of pregnancy 'starts' when missing the first period, but the average days of gestation for a human is 280 days which you will see is a bit more than 10 months
>>283527945she has the ordinarily sized-breasts of a high schooler
>you open the chem lab and find a christmas cake and smelly hikikomori waiting for youwhat do you do
Fujos are scary.
I'm still in despair.

>>283530561That seems a bit highmost of the babies I get at work are 38 weeks or under
>>283542519kek
>>283525084Why'd it take so long? Though in many ways, the nature and essence of scanlators is unknowable. For instance, I'm confounded as to Kerberos Panzer Cop as well as the rest of the Kerberos Saga media hasn't been fully translated. I have a mind to get the Zen edition and pay someone to translate everything in it.
>look up prices for the manga>they’re dirt cheap >look up prices for the anime DVDs>they’re all ridiculously expensive and ship from Japan
>>283546988If you thought the amount of references in the anime is insane, the manga is even worse. The scanlators went out of their way to make translation notes for every single one.The only reason it happened is because people kept making threads reminding us to laugh in 7 yearswhich were eventually banned after the scanlations were done>Kerberos Panzer CopsIf you thought GitS was slow, the Kerberos Panzer Cops movies are twice as slow as that. And nothing happens. Try watching Stalker (1979) sometime. It's like that.Old live action movies are a slog to get through.
>>283547584The struggle is real.
>>283548057>The scanlators went out of their way to make translation notes for every single one.At that point, just have an appendix. But I appreciate the notes at least. It shows that the scanlators care.>Stalker (1979)Never got through it. I have no clue with Tarkovsky was thinking when he made that. Otherside Picnic might share more in common with original novel than that garbage. But mostly, I just want to read the KPC manga. I'm interested in the movies too because I want to see just how far Oshii goes with with alternate timeline Japan.I was oddly enough, able to find subs for Onna Tachiguishi-Retsuden, and it reminded me of some pretentious art film garbage you'd see on Cinemax in 2004 at 2 AM.

>>283526325Remember she only wears traditional clothes and acts intellectual because she's emulating sensei. If she fell in love with (you), then she'd just start acting and dressing like (you). Is that what you really want?I would
>>283554087Oh no that would be badBut what if I said to someone how I wanted a gf that dresses up like sensei? I think she would take the bait
>>283554087I spend 90% of my time in an ill-fitting t-shirt (can't be bothered buying new and better ones) and my boxers, so I couldn't imagine a better situation desu.
>>283520342>November 4th...as in "good death" (114=いいし=良い死)?Congratulations a day late...or 364 days early.On to another year of zetsubou!

おめでとう
I wonder if Kumeta hates Ken Akamatsu purely for his manga work or for his politics.
>>283559697>>283559721Is it "hate"? Looks more like he is simply describing, what he is observing. What's the problem with Kochikame? Is that from the same publisher (Koudansha) as SZS or what?
