They’re completely different genres to begin with.Demon Slayer is technically a typical battle shonen, while Inuyasha is more of a Twilight-style fantasy romance, a story where girls self-insert as Kagome and enjoy the romance with a handsome demi-human.

They're very different, depends what you like. Kimetsu is a standard action packed shounen and focuses more on defeating the main bad guy. Inuyasha is an episodic romcom shoujo masquerading as a shounen. The only similarities are the monsters and the mc using a sword
Demon slayers has better fights, and Inuyasha has better girls (the mc is meh ) but they are both mid.Watch Fullmetal Alchimist.
