I just caught the end of the conversation but I think the threads being stale is just indicating that you need to find a new series to enjoy. Seasonal anime just doesn't seem to have good picking in general. I also think a lot of anons can't really enjoy manga because a lot of the good or interesting ones don't really get picked up for translations. I'm going to give a throw off here and say that I think you find the threads stale because people are posting about things they enjoy that you don't either like or are unwilling to try. When anons are talking about their main interest that I don't like I just scroll past their messages or I just continue to post about my own interests. Sometimes you'll find someone who likes or is willing to try something you do. I've done different types of posts over the years I've been here and honestly? I find the interaction here to be in this order shounen anime> seinen anime> shounen manga> shoujo/josei manga> Korean/Chinese bl> bl manga. The order gets moved around a lot but generally speaking any shounen anime will have a lot more 'interest' than even manga or native bl. Sure I post a bunch of kamikuwatro shit but it makes me happy and there is a ton of good fanart. I also read and buy a shit ton of unTL bl manga but it doesn't bring me the same joy and I'm less likely to write paragraphs on it. Can I write paragraphs on just what I've recently posted? Absolutely, but I don't experience the same plot bunnies I get for my main pairing/current otp and I'm sure other anons feel the same. If someone makes a throw off post about something you don't know or seems 'new' why not just ask them about it? They might give a longer answer or even more series like it.

Family didn't really do anything until the very last chapter so it feels like you've wasted a whole volume on filler. I know a lot of that was set up but I felt like there just should have been more. Well, it is a continuation/ sequel to The first volume I just felt like karaoke was a lot more enjoyable and had a lot of different plot points in comparison to fami. It's something I noticed a lot with this author is that sometimes they can make something really nicely paced but then when they try to continue it they often seem to lose their focus. Instead of a two-volume series it could have been shortened into just e col volume 1 and volume 2 with past versus present
