There's a theme of characters sacrificing themselves for the wellbeing of others, and Historia broke that by not sympathizing with Eren's desire to die for the wellbeing of others. Up to that point nobody except his own mom (which he remembered after that) had told him that his life was intrinsically valuable. Keep in mind that Eren and Historia didn't really know each other that well when this happened. That's because in AOT the purest form of care is telling a stranger that they deserve to live (Eren saving Mikasa when she was a stranger to him, Historia saving Eren when they weren't that close yet, saying "it doesn't matter who it is, if I see a crying child saying they're not worth it I have to help them", Ymir regressing to a crying child when Eren hugged her etc). Unconditional love like a mother is what Historia had for Eren, what Eren had for Historia and Mikasa (before he got to know Mikasa lol), what Eren had for Paradis as a whole.
