They sound like Italians singing in English.Italian and Japanese do share similar vowel sounds, so maybe some of that is mixed in the English rendition, but the hurdles of a Japanese singing in English are pretty high (moras, wholly different consonant sounds, etc), so they tend to sound a lot worse than Italians.
