>>283639875Why do women love throwing away their money? I am stingy as fuck but my wife bought my little sister a Switch 2 and 5 games.
>>283640554Ah, I wish I could day this to my wife but I am too much of a pussy. Her ideas are always retarded.
>>283645578You just need to find the right context.
>>283639805The story about the old man I felt would be a lot stronger if had been built up over more than one chapter. The sick boy who died would have been a stronger candidate for that, seeing someone who had been with okita for that long and enjoyed his company suddenly being refused treatment and his family blaming him. I think I'm still sore about him not even mentioning the kid again. Old man was also the same ilk as the university doctor, unconditionally supporting okitaOn a lesser note it feels like the fire in karin was snuffed out. The same girl who bullrushed home invaders in a wheelchair has been helpless to anyone and everything oner the last chunk of chapters. It makes her more vulnerable sure, but it feels inconsistent. If it were tied to her health after being in the wheelchair so long, or they did more to show that her headstrong personality was a lot of cope for being lonely and now disabled, sure, I'd begrudgingly buy it for a 2000s romance. You would have thought both of them would have brought up sexual issues a lot sooner too (i know we have a scene of her fretting that okita would think she's unattractive because her legs are getting weaker, but if she plans on being with him they're going to have to go see a obgyn and confirm it themselves)Off topic from both it's weird nobody mentions karin's rich parents at all when discussing her relationship with okita. To the university the cover story was the parents buying his cooperation for supporting her, they're clearly rich enough to buy a house, and combined with his apparent reputation for using people you would have thought someone would have accused him of worming into the money of another young(er), rich girl when he's already engaged to the department head's daughter. They just treat karin like she's a random girl. Nobody knows she spent her inheritance on living independently
>>283645578I don't think anyone, least of all your wife, would take "i think you're useless but you're cute so I still like you" as a compliment or incentive to just play silent support for the rest of their relationship
>>283645473In this case it's either going to her studies, her dependent care, kiki taking care of her, or general house stuff. Kiki isn't there at the moment so it may as well go to supporting her man's career
>>283640938It should have its own thread then.
