Jinwoo is obviously a reference to a fallen god; the moment he realizes humanity has betrayed him, he becomes stronger. The fact that his chin stretches downwards, pointing downwards, represents his diminished hope in humanity. His epic journey could be related to journeys in Hebrew scriptures, as well as Jesus Christ and even Buddha. This is a detail that losers don't grasp.
