WN writers just don't really land the appeal of revenge because they're long humiliation rituals where the MC always had the upper hand and not bringing down a truly despicable antagonist from their pedestal. By the time the choleric villains finally die they just didn't have anything left to lose, so there's very little actual satisfaction to be had at that point. It would be more exciting to see the main character turn the tables and outplay them at the end.
