>>284110174It's Mazinger Z and Grendizer, not Great Mazinger (+ Getter like you said, Combattler V and Voltes V). Initially it was only the robots, but later they included the pilots too. Each robot gets two signature attacks (Getter's is kind of wasted with Getter Tomahawk as a single slash rather than Tomahawk boomerang. The other one is Getter Beam, of course. Mazinger gets Rocket Punch and Breast Fire. Grendizer gets Space Thunder and Screw Crusher Punch... but it also can dock with the Spazer where it has a special moveset) and one weapon in addition to being able to equip all the attacks/weapons the Megaton Musashi robots can equip. The guest pilots are a bit more limited. You need to unlock skills with the Megaton Musashi pilots first before being able to equip them on the guests.Anyway, the beginning of the main story is really slow and easy, but after you're done with the equivalent of the original release's content (the first 11 stages or so) you can raise the difficulty of later stages before beating them for the first time. The story also gets better (for a while anyway, you do eventually run into the new content made for the third release, the one we actually got outsideof Japan, and that's really rushed).The game progression later on is basically like Monster Hunter (although you're in linear missions facing weaker enemies towards the boss or dumped right in the boss), farming bosses for better parts for the robots.
