Are action scenes in manga regressing?

>>284070953Society on the whole is regressing.
>>284070953Toriyama was that good, and Demon Slayer just isn't
>is x happening>examples are all battle shonen, often from the same magazineI think the average intelligence of /a/ is regressing.
>>284070953Depends. Later Trigun Maximum sometimes gives me an headache because of how dark it is.

>>284070953Toriyama was a much better artist. Older artists are generally better like Kentaro Miura. Most newer manga artists just suck at drawing, like Chainsaw Man author, his drawings look like doodles.
Nah Toriyama is just the GOAT, it's not like Naruto or Bleach were much better, to say nothing of fucking "Clash Piece"
>>284075540You can't really compare Miura to Toriyama because they were working with different release schedules. Even earlier on I'm pretty sure Miura was releasing with the Young Animal release schedule, which was fortnightly, so he had twice the amount of time as Toriyama did. Not to mention later when he was releasing things once in a blue moon. Who knows what Toriyama may have been able to do if he had developed in a fortnightly or monthly schedule. Did Toriyama ever work on a manga that wasn't weekly? DBS was monthly but that was always the new guy. And even Toriyama's shorter stuff like Sandland was in WSJ.
