Does Isayama ever provide an explanation for why Ymir's jaw titan does not look anything like one? Besides the obvious he hadn't thought of it yet and came up with the idea of the jaw titan and her being one later, kind of ruining the canon?

Also when she tells her story to Historia, about how she wandered the desert, hid underground, and then attacked Reiner's group as they were camping makes no fucking sense. She shouldn't have any memory of that or any free will during that right?

Yeah, Ymir never bonded with Bert and Reiner enough to convincingly sacrifice her life for them. Whole story would've had to be reworked where she was working with them from the start after eating Marcel.
