>>284076672I don't think he's boring honestly; I find his gimmick of starting up some new business in most of his episodes and wearing disguises to blend into the public endearing, like he has a little more presence in the episode plots than villains who just send out a monster in the climax but otherwise don't really participate. It also makes for a nice parallel with Usagi, since she uses the Disguise Pen more in those episodes than probably the rest of the series, so it's like the hero and villain of the arc are sort of operating in the same way. It's also sort of funny how Usagi thinks he's hot on a few occasions when running into him when in disguiseThe episodes of his arc generally have a sort of darker tone and different vibe than most of the rest of that season ends up feeling, and while that's not necessarily because of the character himself it helps me look back on him and his arc pretty positively. With pretty much all the rest of Beryl's henchmen planning to betray her in some way (maybe Kunzite didn't, IDK), he does a pretty good job of playing his role straight as someone who's actually loyal to her>Literally any of the other male villains is a better option.I don't want to bash other characters too much here, but I do think Kunzite is worse. Pretty much all the charm or likability people associate with him actually comes entirely from Zoisite, and Kunzite himself brings almost nothing to the table aside from maybe resisting Moon's attack at one point, which was a pretty cool moment. I feel like most people who like Kunzite do so only because of Zoisite, like they like Kunzite only because they like his boyfriend/ship KunZoi/appreciate the representation of them being a gay couple/etc. He really doesn't do much of anything otherwise. (Zoisite is great though; I like him second behind Jadeite and think objectively he might be the best written or at least most competent of Beryl's group)More than anything though, Jadeite's hot.

Otherwise he's not that likable for most of the arc because he's more hands-off in his plans than Jadeite was, pushing everything off on the sisters while at least Jadeite actively got involved, and also his design isn't as cute. Jadeite at least has that boyish charm
