To me it seems that since wikipedia is kind of the authority on all information, someone is using that to try to push their favorite anime being the best as factual in a way. This is the kind of behavior that makes me hate wikipedia. "The best" is subjective. How can you think that makes for a good wikipedia article? That's not even getting into how garbage this methodology is. Just using some random publications that don't even care about anime and only have a surface level knowledge. Not a single source is Japanese. There are lists on this topic made by Japanese organizations, and while I won't say anything about the quality of the results, surely they have more value than whatever the fuck this is (and there better be no talk of the "anime is now a global product" bullshit). The fact that none of them are in the selected sources show that whoever made this article is probably unaware them and also only has a surface level knowledge of anime. If I had any faith in wikipedia (I don't), I'd trust that they'll remove this article.
