I haven't read the manga. My question is what is the new plot in the manga after the part where the anime ends at the onsen? I finished my rewatch of the anime and I love it so much. But the story seems to be concluded in the onsen when Mahiro chooses to stay a girl signifying his acceptance of his new life. He also has made a full recovery from being a NEET and has been reaping the rewards in the last three episodes of the anime.

I loved the anime so much but if there really is nothing after season one except SoL and piss scenes then is it even worth making a second season? Although the SoL and piss scenes were great, it was the story about him getting his life back together in an unusual way and struggling with his identity that made it truly special. With that story concluded, I'm not sure a season 2 would be a good idea.... which hurts me to say because of how deeply inlove I am with the first season. Also the animation was amazing especially the final scene and the Christmas lights sequence. What if the second season gets the One punch treatment? My heart couldn't take it.

I love Mahiro so much he is the best girl to exist and he isn't even a girl. I've never seen another character match his cuteness. Him being the cutest person ever ties in with the themes of the story as well because it shows that when you're a 20 year old loser you're disgusting but acting the same way as a girl makes you perfect and an object of desire.

What if the final steps of Mihari's rehabilitation is Mahiro going back to being a man and seeing if he can maintain the skills he learned and finally start being useful and doing adult stuff like working.
