And then she has another a Elenium Type 95 which is much better than what anyone else has, but risks blowing up in her face, and therefore she doesn't use it unless she has to, and when she does she forgets herself and involutarily prays, and sometimes even goes to church after. The jewels do basically function as a force multiplier for innate mage talent so someone like Mary Sioux or her dad to a lesser extent can still outpace Tanya even with an inferior orb.

LN is a better predictor for how this will end than Berserk or whatever. It's still going to take a couple more years, it's been on hiatus for 2 years now but Carlo Zen is still a fairly prolific writer with a bunch of ongoing manga that he's doing the writing for and an active twitter account.
