The anons who are complaining about it are generally self-inserters (who wanted him to go for 100℅ rumbling and then return back to Paradis as the new king of Eldia and stay in chad mode forever), EHshippers and the garbage AnR enthusiasts (which is a complete insult to Yams and SnK).The ending was slightly rushed since it seems that the author was forced to meet his deadline and wrap up SnK ASAP by his editor and publisher and also due to time constraint. MAPPA didn't have to fix much besides giving more it more time to breathe and changing some dialogue. It cemented itself as a cultural phenomenon of this decade. And we won't get anything as groundbreaking as SnK for a long time.

That by panelography, redditors take it as face-value to that the cringevengers are the moral superiors when instead they were just incompetent cowards who just wanted to die (see: Hange) instead of committing to anything. Even though I’m an EHtruther (it was foreshadowed), Eren’s whining about Mankasa at the end was actually kino. It showed that he was still human deep inside, and that he abandoned Armin’s brand of nihilism in order to make it come true for him. This is why the 3rd anime opening is the MOST kino opening in all anime, no contest. So the problem with the ending is not that Eren cried for Mankasa, it’s that redditors earnestly fall for the author’s satire (see:cringevenger’s panel). Even the cringevenger victory was fully handed to them on a silver platter by Eren. So it’s not like they were even the heros in the end either. That is why Redditors love the anime ending. Because Armin had a heckerino problemo with Eren’s genociderino.
