Some of the previous episodes had some element of publicity in them, but this one was a straight shameless ad, with a tacked-on message at the end to give it some weight and legitimacy. While I don’t disagree with the overall sentiment of said message (“everything has a soul,” i.e., “we should treasure everything around us”), you will never make me sympathize with robots. Fuck them. To be honest, this is worse than other post apocalyptic shows that have aired this year.
The short haired Yoko is not real. The Yoko is actually the long haired one, and what we see as her hallucinations are actually glimpses to reality. Airi is Yoko's hallucinated stand-in for big-sis who is with her and is really her friend/caretaker/something.Also an apocalypse of any kind never happened, they still live in the 2020's, and all is well apart form Yoko's mental landscape. There never were underground shelters, advanced robots or AI.The cake is a lie.
