I watched a VHS of this like 20 years ago that I barely remember and knew nothing about and I played Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth but I want more. Which Record of Lodoss War books should I get?
>>284114855AFAIK if you've watched the original OVA and the TV series that's good enough. The other OVAs are ass and I don't know what you'd get out of the books. Definitely watch the TV series though, unless you're an Orson fan (he gets brutally cucked).
>Which Record of Lodoss War books should I get?The main novel series and the original D&D replay.
>>284114944>unless you're an Orson fan (he gets brutally cucked)twice btw
>>284114944The tv series is not good compared go the OVA. Compared to everything that came after it may as well be a masterpiece but it's a borderline childrens show with inferior art
>>284115892The OP is objectively kino. The tv show also has occasional Sakuga. Where as the OVA only has great animation in the first episode.
>>284115892The OVA is crap.
>>284115892I liked the tv series in its own way for a few reasons, mainly because the longer runtime had more room to breathe and also since it made Parn look legit. He was a beast in the tv version even if he couldn't quite take Ashram. At least he put up a fight. He beat Orson too. In the OVA they kept glazing Parn but he was a total loser. Didn't match how they talked about him.
>>284118147The big issue for the TV series is that it doesn't stand on its own. You're assumed to be familiar with the events before the sceptre of domination and it skipped the holy war of kings which served as the groundwork for the finale.
The tv series ruined the brown elf and she is way hotter in the OVA so all of your opinions are OBJECTIVELY wrong
This is the hottest girl in Lodoss.
/a/ Sword World campaign WHEN
>>284114855cool
>>284114855That anime was so cool
>>284116865You shut your whore mouth, the OVA is pure unadulterated high fantasy kino.
