2025 is ending, what series have Let's discuss manga that can't sustain their own threads. Overall how do you feel about manga in the year of 2025 that's now near it's ending?

2025 is ending and we still haven't gotten new Touge Oni chapters, I should've learned Japanese.
>>
Anyone else reading Ranpo Amnesia?

>Overall how do you feel about manga in the year of 2025 that's now near it's ending?
Hard year for non-moon readers. Luckily I know English and Spanish and can deal with some Portuguese so I can still read more shitty translations than EOP.

Many good mango came out and some more got the axe because nips have infamous shit taste.
I also had very pleasant surprises, like reading Momo The Bloodtaker or finding out that there are like more than half a dozen girlfailures mangos. Reread some good ones when I felt down, and they always cheer me up.
There's a sharp decline in lolicon mangos, so the meme that we truly live in a winter for lolicons is real. Which as a HUGE hardcore lolicon affects me deeply.
Overall has been a okay year, my kokkoro has been broken many times by endings or axing, but such is life.
My favourite running manga right now I think is pic-related(Noa-senpai wa tomodachi), alongside Mikoto-chan doesn't want to be hated. Which yes, they aren't lolis and I said I was a huge lolicon, but I discovered I have a VERY soft spot for girlfailures and menheras.

Anyway let's hope next year is better.

I barely read manga in translation this year but for some dumb reason I started buying physical copies after many years (translated).

Currently reading a few
>Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki
Great art but it's made it hard to go back to shoujo manga with inferior art. Now waiting for vol 10 and excited about the upcoming anime.
>Gisele Alain
I was just about to start it when I learned that the mangaka had passed. Forever axed.
>Sora wo Sora wo Matotte
Nice art but the dialect is a pain.
>Long summer of 31/8
It's fun but a bit jarring that every girl has the same face. Now waiting for vol 10.
>Kimi no Yokogao wo Miteita
Cute manga, surprisingly not too irritating that it's told from multiple perspectives instead of just progressing the main plot.
>>
>>284222335
>Gisele Alain
Man that brings back memories.
I was reading it back way when the mangaka was alive, and I read the news that the mangaka died suddenly one day.
She was cute. Same happened a few times already, mangakas tend to die young for some reason.
>>
>>284221782
>Hikikomori tendencies
But she wasn't so broken before. She became a girlfailure.
>>
>manga thread can't even survive a day
Sad.

Anon made a thread about pic related a couple of days ago. I expected a lot more edge but there's not that much.
Her interview with Asano at the end of the 1st volume is not exactly enlightening, so I don't know how much of it is actually autobiographical.
>>
This year revived my interest in romcom. I've picked up a few which are actually good, mostly because they have progress unlike romcom of the 00s and early 10s.
>>
>>284222335
>>Sora wo Sora wo Matotte
I know the scanlator dropped this. I was really enjoying it. Did an English publisher pick it up?
>>
>>284226164
Oh, last I checked they were still releasing but that was a while ago.
>>
>>284217503
Is there any hope of us getting the new volume chapters translated at this point? What happened to the previous translation team?
>>
>>284226406
It was one guy and he just disappeared, no idea why, probably need to wait for officials to catch up at this point but I remember them not reading nearly as well as the fanscans.
Hope the original translator is well but I'm really curious what happened to him too.

The scanlator was full of himself (i.e., huge faggot).
There's over 30 chapters still untranslated but it hasn't picked up officially or by some other group afaik.

I think this year was good. New works got picked up both officially and non-officially. And even older gekiga works are getting love. That alone is great.
Looking at what I picked: KaguRai, The Creepy and the Freaky, Maison and the Man-Eating Apartment, War of the Adults, Parashoppers, Silver Mountain. Guess I started to go back to shounen this year.
Overall, I'm optimistic about the next year. More so because I have a work I'm looking forward towards by the end of this one.

I was hoping GT-giRl would resurface by the time Shuumatsu Touring started airing.
At least Wisespeak/Ys's Peak/Yuina still remembers it.

Goddamn I love Fool Night. Scratches that sweet spot tone-wise between Ajin and Chainsaw Man, while still doing its own thing.

Finished off Captain Kid this week, some pacing issues towards the end, but enjoyable enough.

Didn't know where to post it. But Young Magazine US released the results for their poll.
The 5 oneshots in pic related are going to get full serializations. Unsuprisingly they were the 5 who were on the top when the polling was public, they didn't think that one through. They also said that due to the response they will pick up other 4 works that didn't make it to serialize too. But they're keeping them a secret for now.

I grabbed the physical of Young magazine but still haven't read it. Surprised Gouma didn't make the cut given how much hype I saw from normans about the art
>>
I've been enjoying Super no Ura de Yani Sū Futari. I'm surprised it's getting an anime adaptation in 2026. From twitter mango to anime in 4 years is pretty cool

I recently ran into Cosmos--from the Beelzebub guy but monthly and seinen. It was a nice binge; reminded me of Aliens Area.
I think I saw it a couple years ago, but there were almost no chapters then and I forgot about it.
>>
I started and caught up with Frieren, Tusgumomo, Kagurabachi, Choujin X, MAD, and The Witch and the Mercenary. I like them. Also read a few older series like Hungry Joker, and 666 Satan
>>
>>284226545
I see, unfortunate. Hope the original translator is well too, if he just disappeared without any reason, given how much effort needed to translate Touge Oni so he's clearly passionate about the series

They could be one of the secret four they picked. I expect the Last Terran or the Graveyard Shift to be one of them as well.

the only thing that's caught my eye recently is Delinquent Gacha on mangaplus. very striking artstyle and very fun to read. really hoping it lives a long healthy life because things have been kind of dire in the manga world at least for me.

Hi guys, I am a narcissist with massive vision. I am not a super duper weeb like many here might be, but my egotism and love for self are just as strong as any gaijin's love for (thing, Japan). As such, I have made it my life's mission now to not only enter the manga industry and be published as a gaijin, but also very successful and renowned and have it be part of my legacy as well as an alternative career path to let me be one of the lucky Gen Z's that succeed and get rich (or just moderately wealthy and retired early) against the odds.

Do you guys have any advice beyond trying to make it sovlful? I was thinking of leaning on and exploiting certain common tropes for generic shounen slop and some Nipponese nationalist glazing for an extra competitive edge.
