I've been pacing around for the past 15 minutes after I first saw this, because I was overwhelmed by how moe his expression is here. In the manga, annoyance is an expression he sometimes wears (to my benefit because it is incredibly cute), but embarrassment is not an expression he wears without being accompanied by anger. I say all that to say this: whatever witchcraft (it's too on the nose to say "alchemy", right?) you used on his expression in this image really hit me with a KO with how fresh on him and cute it is. The turtleneck and jeans combo also did me on the moe meter, I love illustrations of him where he wears more modern clothing, or even when he just wears more casual clothes than his suit. The Arakawa ornament is an awesome touch, it looks like he just got a present in the mail from his mom (Arakawa-sensei) that features her face on a handmade ornament. He looks as if he doesn't want to hang it on the tree, but that if company comes over from her side, they will ask whether he got it or not. A cute mental image, thank you for giving me this cute inspiration.
The way you lay your lines feels so perfect, and the roughness of the binary brush in partnership with your linework creates a nostalgic effect. I feel like I got transported back to 2010 when Brotherhood was airing and the manga was in its final arc. To be honest, seeing him depicted in your style has always had this effect on me.
