While undoubtedly a few are just making shit up for fun, the average adult male weighs like 75-80kg. A 2.5x deadlift is not even competitive outside of very local meets and is something basically any adult male who can be consistent about basically any training regime can achieve in 0.5-2 years, wouldn't even look impressive in street clothes.

How do I get stronger bros? I've been going to the gym for a couple years now and I still haven't broken 165lb squat. I'm tall and lanky and no matter how much I eat I barely put on any muscle.

>>
>>284403987
how often do you go and what's your routine like?
>>
>>284404033
I can only go twice a week right now but I try to work out at home on off days. That answers my question I know but I still feel like I should have made better results after two years.
I'm 6'3" 175lbs. Average gym day is usually,
5x5 preacher curls 130lbs
4x20 ab crunch 225lbs
4x5 chest press machine 150lbs
4x20 tricep ext machine 210lbs OR 4x10 lat pulldowns 130lbs
5x5 squats 155/165lbs
4x20 standing calf raises 220lbs
6x20 seated calf raises 135lbs
4x20 leg presses 230/250lbs
Then like 15 min treadmill
I usually get about 3000 cal a day with 120g protein

I mean 2x a week is fine I think. the only other factor is if you eat enough protein and have an okay sleep schedule.
tall guys always have trouble with squats though. if you're trying to do ass-to-grass you probably won't get much higher than that other than by going much more often. I wouldn't do that though, just go down to 90 degrees. in fact I've been warned away from squats to avoid knee problems (I have roughly the same build as you), so I mostly just do leg curls, hip abductor/adductor, calf extensions and bike with high resistance.

>5x5 preacher curls 130lbs
wait is that one of those machines with adjustable weights? if that's with a barbell your biceps must be bigger than your legs lmao
>>
>>284404733
>tall guys always have trouble with squats though
I didn't know that, slightly reassuring ty anon
>wait is that one of those machines with adjustable weights?
Yeah forgot to say that one is a machine kek
What do your calves and forearms look like? Mine are embarrassingly skinny despite trying to hit them hard.
>>
>>284404794
pretty thin. my bones are unusually thin so even though I'm pretty strong I still look like a lanklet.
I have decent forearms though cause I do front and back forearm curls. rock climbing is even better but I don't have time for that.
>>
>>284404938

>How do I get stronger bros
Progressive overload. Do more weight or more reps each workout/week/month
>I'm tall and lanky
Lots of guys are and still build muscle
>no matter how much I eat I barely put on any muscle.
If you don't stimulate your muscles enough then they will have no incentive to grow, and if you're not gaining fat either then you're not eating as much as you think you are
Next time you work out try to take your first set of each exercise all the way to failure (except squats, take it to 1 rep shy of failure for safety reasons), then do the rest of your sets, and also put hard stuff like squats at the beginning of your workout. It's gonna suck, and if you go past like 15 reps it's gonna turn into a cardio workout too, but if you want to build muscle then you're going to have to push yourself. Write down how many reps you got and at what weight, and then the work out after that try to either do more reps or do the same reps but with 5 more pounds. Tracking your workouts to make sure you're actually progressing is really important
Also drop one of your calf exercises for either pulldowns or rows, there's wayyyyy more muscle on your back to grow than your calves
