Will that 2hu anime with a male MC ever see the light of day?
The CGI Orion movie would be interesting to watch.
The second Rail Wars! manga adaptation, Rail Wars! FN, is basically lost media. Only two chapters were published before updates stopped, probably because the anime flopped so hard. It was never compiled into a volume, and the digital platform it was published on, PoniMaga, shut down years ago. Since the chapters weren't ripped, there's no way to read them now.Something similar happened with some of the 3x3 Eyes sequel oneshots. They were published on the digital platform E-Young Magazine, which is now defunct, and these oneshots were never compiled either. There are probably a lot of digital-only manga series and oneshots that have become lost media.
>>284399195>lost mediaWhat is it with children and their obsession with this? Go away.
There's myriad anime from the 60s/70s that are lost. Mon Cheri Coco is one of the more well known examples, and some footage from it has actually resurfaced thanks to fan recordings.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pfr79pCsDYU
There was one thread in 2023 where one anon brought up this one obscure Evangelion parody fan animation, with picrel. As far as I remember, it was only shown in private screenings, because distributing it publically would've led to legal issues, or something along those lines.>>284402210Same issue as with this animation. ZUN didn't really give permission for the work and didn't want an anime made by a big name studio like ufotable to be released publically, because he feared it then would be considered as an "offical work".(ZUN was back in the day pretty strict with fan anime, but Summer Day's Dream and Fantasy Kaleidoscope were able to find some leeway. There has been going on this one rumour that ZUN forbid a doujin circle for making a ZUN-styled Touhou animations that retell the game plots, because he thought it would then be considered as an official work. The evidence for this are all the ZUN-styled gifs floating on the net, but as far as I'm aware of, the rumour is made-up and the gifs came from some imageboard)There were initially plans for a Anime Tenchou x Touhou Project DVD release, but they quickly disappeared from ufotable cinema's official site. The only footage of the anime is currently the storyboard book, which was sold on site.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_53I7fDguc
>>284404852I too love to watch the documentaries on youtube.
Almost all tales recorded by Gakken, which were done by using puppetry style are lost media.
>>284409364The ones that aren't animated but actual puppetry. Were the DVDs incomplete? That sucks
>>284404852They're mostly millennial boomers and everyone with both a brain and a heart is interested in preserving history.

>>284399302This has always been my big one, just because I'm curious if it's ACTUALLY that bad or just "not up to standards".
>>284399195The 1999 live action adaptation of Warau Salesman.I know people who saw it when it aired and they said it was good, but it's never been released on home media and never been shown on TV since.
