Plot threads that go nowhere, callbacks to the original series that exist purely to destroy something or someone you liked, broken promises, wasted characters, like 4 different plotlines that all end on intentional subversive anticlimaxes, an in-universe retcon gun whose only purpose is to make things worse every time it is used... the sins of this show are too many to list.

It should have been 3 or 4. I don't necessarily blame the producer for this as the source material is just as slow paced, it's tough to justify big skips and still remain faithful to the source. One show in particular this season that did that well is Ansatsusha, which is punching well above its weight considering the story and has a great production behind it. And cute elves

I've seen a lot of terrible anime but the worst in my recent memory was Rinkai. Animated like a powerpoint presentation, no real plot or message, no character development, the 'story' was basically just the passage of time and even then it was still difficult to follow since there were way too many characters and none of them were interesting. I forced myself to watch it because bikes are my other hobby in life.

I really envy people whose worst anime that they've ever watched was just a mediocre 5/10 fantasy schlock from the last 10 years. To me it’s pic related, a 30-minute-long shitpost that has to be watched to be believed. And in case it doesn’t count, since it’s barely a cohesive piece, then it would be a tie between Gundress, an awful sci-fi movie that released unfinished to theaters, and the remake of A.D. Police that has none of the personality or thick cyberpunk atmosphere of the original OVA, on top of being poorly animated and looking like ASS.

While i cant choose just one this is a recent addition to my hatelist, Mahou Shoujo Tai Arusu, aka Tweeny Witches.-The characters are obnoxious, all of them, for different reasons, specially the MC-The story is retarded and schizophrenic while at the same time being as generic as possible-The animation is 90% bad, with plenty of not just CG, but early 2000's CG, with the 10% sitll being bad thanks to...-The direction, when is not being bland its fucking terrible, sometimes surprising you with new ways of being shit-The character design would be ok if it was consistent, but its not, and its not simply offmodel, its vomit inducing offmodel-The monster design tries to be quirky but it just comes off as kind of ugly at best and abominations at their worst-The """action""" is so sauceless like if you gave the bitchiest PTA member full control and told her this was airing to toddlers-Im not a big music guy but they keep reusing the OP song (op that is made of recycled clips of the show mind you) to the point you want to die when it starts again.-The medieval style pre-intro is pretty cool and the ED song is a banger though, i will give it that.Its such an insult to all senses, the only semi-legacy of something decent left of it besides the two mentioned above is the reaction image made from the end of this gif.
